Freedom Honor Flight's first mission is successful on all counts
La Crosse, Wis., October 21, 2008
Freedom Honor Flight, the first Wisconsin hub of the national Honor Flight Network, conducted its first flight on October 8, 2008. With 113 veterans on board the chartered 757 aircraft, it was the largest Honor Flight in the national program’s history.

Freedom Honor Flight Inc. has applied for tax exempt status with the Internal Revenue Service. Currently, donations to Freedom Honor Flight are being accepted by the University of Wisconsin – La Crosse Foundation in our name, so donations are tax deductible. Checks should be made payable to the UW-L Foundation – Freedom Honor Flight, or simply write Freedom Honor Flight on the memo line of the check. We can also accept donations through a secure online service, which is available here.
