An Update on the Veterans Day Breakfast

After much thought, the Freedom Honor Flight board has made the difficult decision to discontinue the Veterans Day Breakfast at UW-La Crosse, and it will not take place in 2026. Earlier this year, we lost our board president, Pat Stephens, whose leadership and dedication were the driving force behind this event. We are deeply grateful for everything Pat gave to our veterans and our mission.

We also thank UWL, especially its athletic department, for its partnership, as well as the many veterans, families and volunteers who made the breakfast such a meaningful tradition over the years. This Veterans Day, we encourage veterans to enjoy the free breakfast offered by Hy-Vee in La Crosse.
